Heavy metal scavenger
EPOFLOC
EPOFLOC is a high-performance liquid-phase chelating agent engineered for both single-metal and simultaneous multi-metal binding. Typically introduced at the initial stage of wastewater inflow, it reacts directly with heavy metal ions, forming large, fast-settling flocs through high-reactivity chelation. This enables efficient removal with minimal dosage, accelerating treatment while reducing chemical load.
Wide Range of Metals
EPOFLOC demonstrates broad reactivity across a wide spectrum of heavy metals, including Chromium (Cr), Manganese(Mn), Iron (Fe), Cobalt (Co), Nickell (Ni), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Arsenic (As), Selenium (Se), Silver (Ag), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), and Lead (Pb). Because it is able to bind to multiple elements simultaneously, EPOFLOC can eliminate the need to treat metals individually.
Complex wastewater heavy metal treatment
Application Examples
– Galvanization Processing plant
In this example, EPOFLOC successfully treated wastewater containing multiple complex heavy metals in a single process. It also reduced chemical usage by 90% compared to conventional treatment agents.
Low-Dose Efficiency
EPOFLOC is added into the initial tank where untreated wastewater enters the treatment system. Its strong coagulation properties make it ideal for early-stage application, reducing total chemical usage throughout the process.
EPOFLOC forms strong chelate bonds through direct reaction with heavy metal ions, enabling effective flocculation and precipitation even at low dosage. Its high reactivity remains consistent in complex, high-concentration wastewater, minimizing the amount of chemical required for treatment.
High concentrated wastewater treatment
Application Examples
– Semiconductor plant
In this application, copper concentration was reduced from 3090 mg/L to 0.9 mg/L following treatment. This result was achieved even with highly concentrated, complex wastewater.
Sludge Reduction
Watch EPOFLOC’s performance as it engages with heavy metal ions to initiate floc formation. Compared to conventional treatment chemicals, EPOFLOC reduces the required volume of agents and auxiliary agents, resulting in significantly lower sludge generation.
Significant sludge reduction
Application Examples
– Machinery manufacturer
Compared to conventional chemicals, EPOFLOC usage was reduced by 30%, ferric chloride by 75%, and sludge volume by 25%. These reductions contributed to a significant overall cost savings.
Rapid Sedimentation
EPOFLOC demonstrates high reactivity and delivers effective treatment at low dosage levels. In copper removal tests, it successfully reduced concentrations far below the discharge standard of 3 mg/L, reaching 0.02 mg/L or less, while requiring 200 mg/L less dosage than alternative products.
EPOFLOC produces large, stable flocs that promote rapid sludge settling and efficient solid-liquid separation. In testing, noticeable settling behavior occurred within five minutes of application, supporting faster and more effective treatment performance.
Processing performance that meets rigorous standards
Application Examples
– Lead wastewater treatment
In lead wastewater treatment, EPOFLOC achieves superior removal performance while requiring a lower dosage than competing products.
Easy Installation
Installing EPOFLOC requires no large-scale investment. A basic tank and pump setup is sufficient, with no need to modify existing infrastructure.
Treatment testing method
When evaluating EPOFLOC for heavy metal wastewater treatment, testing should be conducted using actual wastewater samples. With only a beaker, agitator, and stirring bar, you can independently perform bench-scale tests and verify EPOFLOC’s effectiveness. The basic procedure consists of the following six steps:
1
Determine dosage
Set the appropriate amount of EPOFLOC to be added. Accurate dosing is critical, as incorrect quantities may compromise treatment performance.
2
Add EPOFLOC
Introduce EPOFLOC and agitate rapidly for approximately 10 to 20 minutes. Large flocs typically begin forming within 5 to 10 minutes.
3
Add auxiliary agent
Add auxiliary agent (e.g., ferric chloride, PFS, aluminum sulfate, or PAC) at a 1:3–1:10 Epofloc ratio and agitate rapidly for 10–20 minutes.
4
Adjust pH
Modify the pH to the optimal treatment range, typically between 5 and 9.
5
Add polymer coagulant
Introduce a polymer coagulant and agitate slowly for 1 to 5 minutes before allowing the mixture to settle.
6
Allow to stand
After agitation, allow the mixture to stand. The treated water separates from the sludge, which settles at the bottom of the beaker.
