The full flavor of the products really helps emphasize the heart of the dish. The “botanova Butter taste” is great application in pastry. It highlights botanova’s strength as being depth of flavor. The “botanova Tallow taste” brings a very unique flavoring that seems very familiar to many chefs. The “botanova Lard taste” can bring out the flavorsome component of ingredients in something that you wouldn’t normally see with a neutral oil. And in particular, the sustainability of the products is very important. Concepts of botanova to me represents a way to move away from animal-based oils and fats to a healthier style of cookery while not sacrificing flavor.

I love this oil, it adds the meaty, umami flavor normally provided by animal fat. It adds umami I crave when roasting vegetables, that I would normally either use duck/pork fat for or extra virgin olive oil. It provides me with the perfect middle ground of flavor and vegetarianism.

This oil has the flavor of beef tallow without animal-derived ingredients. By using MIYOSHI’s unique technology, we have created an authentic animal-fat taste on a plant basis.

・Reproduces the aroma of broiled meat and fatty sweetness of Wagyu beef.
・Enhances the satisfaction by its long-lasting aroma.
・Retains a fatty sweetness, thick and mellow aroma, like animal fat.

The Special Characteristics Behind Our Product

・Reproduces the aroma of Wagyu beef tallow on plant-basis.
・Masks an unappetizing smell of plant-based protein.
・Certified by Plant Based Foods Association and VegeProject Japan.
・Does not contain leeks, scallions, garlic, onions, or Chinese chives, which are collectively called the “five pungent roots.”
